The Shakti Durga Shanti Mission has the vision of achieving Peace on Earth with ease and grace. To assist this process the vision of the Shanti Wellness group is focused on well people and helping them become healthier, fitter, happier and more awakened to their spiritual self.
The goal is that “Every individual has the knowledge and skills to attain and maintain perfect health of body, mind and spirit.”
In order to achieve this goal the knowledge and skills required need to be taught. Our aim is to set up wellness centres and retreat centres in order to facilitate this.
Besides the Path of Ease and Grace seminars there are many other techniques which can assist our development including natural therapies such as herbal medicine, acupuncture, aromatherapy, crystal dreaming just to name a few. There are also many divine ways to care for our physical bodies such as Yoga, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, as well as massage, spa treatments and other self care programs. Shanti Wellness aims to combine all these techniques and therapies into one centre where a person can come to pamper themselves, receive healing, care for their bodies, mind and spirit as well as learn the techniques to continue this for themselves and others.
The Shanti Wellness vision group has already established two centres and one retreat centre is ready to start operating early next year.
Parvati House is a wellness centre that has been established right in the centre of Newcastle’s CBD. Our other centre is called “Miriam Gardens” and is located on 5 ½ acres, in the Newcastle suburb of Charlestown.
The Shanti Life Enhancement centre situated in Mooball, in the beautiful Tweed Valley, will be available for individual and group retreats and will also be available for seminars.
The Shanti Wellness group is now busy visioning the expansion of the number of Shanti Wellness centres and retreat centres all over the country and eventually all over the globe.
Currently the group is quite small. We would welcome anyone who resonates with a focus on preventative health and wellness to join us.
Our group currently meets monthly. The next meeting will be held on Thursday, 14th May 2.00 pm – 4.00 pm, at Miriam Gardens, 59 EK Avenue Charlestown.
It is anticipated that the June meeting will be on Thursday, 11th June at 2.00 pm
