The difference between a vision group and action group

Vision Group

To hold highest vision of ourselves and the role of Music & Arts in the Shanti Mission.

Vision group focuses on erasing limiting thoughts and collectively holding and energising our highest vision for what we want to create in the world.

Action Groups

Action Groups will develop further in 2009 and they will be groups focused on one specific area of  our vision.

For example;

Lance, Antionette and Jude will be developing an action group focusing on establishing the Cooranbong Harmony Centre as a premium venue for large scale events.

Ash, Chad, Rich, Cathy, Kat, Rob, Brett, Sky, Bob, Will are all passionate musicians within our vision group and we will be looking at getting together regularly as an action group to improve our skills and to structure kirtan and our musical programs for 2009 and beyond.

Michelle is a very talented graphic designer and will be involved in an action group to develop courses and programs whereby people are encouraged to express their spirituality through art.

Rob has a plan to develop a Radio Station called ‘Harmony Central’. This will also require the development and assistance of an action group.

Antionette will be continuing her amazing work in 2009 on the ‘Unite Sydney Project’. This spectacular event will bring together vast numbers of people from the many diverse sections of the community in the name of peace. Keep posted on the Vision Group Webpage for more updates about the ‘Unite Sydney Project’.

Structure for 2009 - Logistics Turning our dreams and vision into plans and action

We will be meeting on a monthly basis starting from Sunday 8th Feb 2009 after Sydney Satsang. Meetings will be held either at Sydney or Cooranbong. Keep informed about upcoming meetings by visiting our Vision Group Webpage at

http://vision.shantimission.org/

Make sure to register yourself at this website. Also check this webpage for minutes from all of our previous Vision Group Meetings. This is a great way to keep up-to-date even if you are unable to attend a meeting.

At each meeting we will have a brief check-in followed by a meditation to erase negative limiting thought forms we have identified, replacing them with positive affirmations of our vision. Then if we have specific agenda items they can be discussed by the group.

All those present at the meeting today agreed that each Friday as part of our morning practices we will all do the Music and Arts Thought Form Clearing CD. People are encouraged to do this at 6:30am if possible and consciously connect with other group members to amplify the effect of the practice. Please make sure to let Richard or Chad know if you need to get a copy of this clearing CD.
